Not only do you broaden your horizons, you can earn even more by testifying. Consider the following when deciding whether or not to try your hand at testifying:
1. Time factor. Do you have the time to prepare to testify? Then, do you have the time to actually testify? Money aside, you'll need several hours to prepare to testify and several more to give your deposition testimony. Since more cases settle than ever go to trial, the chances of actually testifying in court are small.
2. Credibility. You can enhance your credibility by testifying. You will draw upon your nursing skills and combine it with your legal knowledge. It's a perfect blend. You might even get more clients from giving a deposition. Remember, others could be in attendance at your deposition.
